I'm Amanda

I currently serve as the Lead Pastor of a very special church community in Hamilton, Ontario, after leading for six years as an Associate Pastor, overseeing Discipleship and Worship. It was in this role of equipping lay leaders that I developed the conviction that healthy leadership and vision is crucial for any organization to develop to its' full potential.

I have always been curious about people but it took a long and winding path of seemingly unrelated gigs and adventure for me to understand my passion for leadership, personal and organizational growth. After completing a (useful! actually!!) degree in History, I moved to Honduras to teach high school Physical Education. It was there I discovered how lacking I was in my ability to offer people informed and educated advice on personal issues while observing how systemic and cultural issues had an enormous impact on people's everyday lives.

I returned to Canada and began Tyndale Seminary with the intent of studying counselling, but by the end of the first year, I knew I wanted a more proactive and all-encompassing approach to health, growth, and development. I fell in love with Family Systems theory - especially when applied to organizational management. I expanded my studies to include leadership development and preaching to be able to incorporate a biblical perspective on formation. I graduated in 2014 with a Masters of Divinity and a passion for practically equipping people and communities to become all they are created.

I started Selah Consulting in 2013 with the vision to support individuals and organizations for clarity, cohesiveness and direction. As my own leadership journey evolved, along with my skills and experience, I have worked with individuals on personal development, participated in various speaking and teaching events, planned and facilitated group retreats, coached and mentored leaders (a special passion of mine!) and collaborated in vision casting, strategic planning, and execution.

Do you think I may have something to offer you and/or your organization? Feel free to reach out!

I'd love to hear from you!
